First Steps Towards Scaling: Audience Building for a New Brand
Little Renters is a social enterprise offering eco-friendly baby clothing rental in Australia. As a relatively new brand that hadn’t had much time to focus on their online presence, they approached us to design and execute a short-term marketing strategy focused on community growth, brand visibility, and conversion testing.

The Ask
Little Renters wanted to grow their Instagram following by at least 450 people and test paid strategies to activate subscriptions. With a small team and limited internal capacity, they needed support across both campaign setup and implementation, using their existing Shopify store and social presence.
The Solution
We rolled out a comprehensive 6-week sprint campaign, combining organic and paid media efforts:
- A giveaway campaign to drive engagement and visibility (5.8K impressions, 266 engagements)
- An Add-as-Collaborator content strategy to extend network reach and build early partnerships
- A follower growth Meta Ads campaign, with interest-based targeting and A/B creative testing
- A targeted subscription activation campaign that achieved high-CTR (7%) conversion messaging and creative, carefully tested and validated for maximum impact.
Each phase was paired with continuous analysis and iteration based on Meta performance data and user behavior (CTR, ATC events, session length, etc.).
The Results
The campaign offered valuable early insights into what resonates with Little Renters’ target audience and how to structure future growth. While follower growth and conversions were modest in this phase, several clear signals emerged:
- Instagram follower growth: +205 across organic and paid channels, showing early traction with interest-based targeting
- Giveaway campaign: 5.8K impressions and 266 engagements within 12 days, with most interaction concentrated in the first 48 hours
- Meta Ads performance:
- 70 new followers acquired at an average $1.31 per follower
- Top-performing segment: Motherhood + Shopping interests at $0.68/follower
- Subscription activation testing:
- 298% uplift in website sessions
- 155 Add-to-Cart events
- 7.35% CTR, well above industry benchmarks
- Average session time: 1 minute—indicating genuine product interest
Beyond performance, the campaign helped validate targeting segments, test creative formats, and set a strong foundation for retargeting and checkout flow optimization. These learnings inform a scalable strategy for long-term brand growth.
